Local competitions are the heart of it all!

 

Regardless of who the International Champion will be, they will first be in a local competition. The only exclusion for this requirement will be given to previous International Champions of the competition; theirs is a lifetime exclusion. 

 

For all other contestants, however, the first step will be the local competition. It may take place at a music retail outlet, or a Church, or even a University Campus Chapel.  All contestants must begin the journey to the International Finals via their own local competition.

The information for the local competitions may be found here.  Local competition sites  will be added as they become available.  Furthermore, these will be the ONLY authorized sites for participation in the International Pipe Organ Competition. Information as to location, time and date, and contact information for the local coordinator will be given.

Competition Structure Chart

 

The Grand Organ International Pipe Organ Competitions begin at home, no matter where home may be.  The journey begins with but one small step, and each step of the journey takes you one step closer to the prize.  One very lucky contestant will begin their journey at home, and return back home with the award of a lifetime! 

 

In order to accomplish this task, some structure must be in place.  Here is the organization of the competition.  If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please provide them via email to gop@kybudman.com. Please include a brief title in the Subject line, to avoid having your idea missed, and winding up in the junk mail.
